“Jesus has overcome this world of sin and death during these times of tribulation while giving us His peace.   But the reality is that we who have faith in Christ Jesus know what the future holds,”.  The Corona-virus may have started in China and is spreading like wildfire but despite everything we hear about the devastation caused in Asia and Europe, people hear in the United States acted as if we were immune to it.  But now, this pandemic has crossed the ocean into our shores and still people ignored it or didn't take it serious.

Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” God’s word assures us that pride is the root of the rubble in our lives .  So I ask my was it pride or laziness that caused our leaders to drop the ball on this pandemic.  Thank God that our leaders began to take action quicker than some of the other countries.  As a nation the president and governors have issued "stay at home" orders to minimize the potential damage that we have begun to suffer but this requires the cooperation of everyone.

The Golden Rule is the principle of treating others as you want to be treated and so from that perspective we have a responsibility to follow the guidelines set forth by the mayor and governor so that the spread of the corona-virus is minimized.  Ignoring the stay at home order places everyone in danger and keeps this virus alive to cause more havoc and destruction.  As Christians, we have an obligation to set the example and talk to friends and family via phone, computer, or other media to submit to the restrictions so that this pandemic can get neutralized sooner than later.

Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus".  It is in times like these that your faith will be tested so stand firm and don't give into your fear but instead focus on Christ for he is your hope.  Be creative with your family so that if you aren't working fill your children's time with activities that will enable them to grow closer to the lord.  Help your children gain more wisdom, help them remain calm in these times of stress but most of all remain strong because you are their role models.

Loving God, please grant me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart.  Give me the strength and clarity of mind to find my purpose and walk the path you've laid out for me. I trust your Love God, and know that you will heal this stress. Just as the sun rises each day against the dark of night. All this I ask in your blessed name, Amen
